Organic Mushroom Compost
We like to call this our Magical Mushroom Compost! Perfect for improving the quality of your soil and growing flowers and plants, Mushroom compost is efficient, effective and economical. Ideal for the garden garden or professional set ups.
This compost is a by product of the mushroom growing industry and is composed of composted agricultural straw and rotted manure. It’s crumbly, spreadable and very easy to work with. The composition of the compost makes it perfect for improving heavy clay soils and for adding humus to nutrient deficient soils.
Our compost comes fully steam sterilised before leaving the mushroom farm, so it won’t spread weeds or any other unwelcome visitors to your garden or growing area.
How Much Should I Use?
We recommend a layer of 50mm for general soil improvement or 75mm when working with poorer quality soils. The compost can be forked in or if you’re lucky enough to have a rotavator that would be even better.
